A day without porn
Thursday, May 1st, 2008Fuck the office. I haven’t worked in a real office in years and I don’t plan on starting anytime soon. I feel I’m doing the environment a favor by working from home and having my contractors do what they do where ever they want to do it. Fuck an office. Here’s a picture of a chair I walked past on my way to the beach. Someone else apparently feels the same way. Even the birds agree.

Now its only appropriate for me to post a picture of me working. Here I am in my ‘office’. Its actually my roof. Great view don’t you think? How could this possibly get old?

I took a day off from hustling the other day and biked into Haleiwa. I brought my camera with me and just plopped the bag down on the ground without thinking. Then I freaked out and had to take a picture to see if my camera still worked. It turned out to be a pretty cool shot. Everything is so symmetrical in it.

Enough grocery shopping at Malama Market. I headed over to Alii Beach Park to check out the waves and the girls. What do we have here? Twin bikinis it seems and this cute little Japanese girl liked me snapping shots of her. She smiled a few times and posed nicely for me. I swear this was totally not a pervert from the bushes shot. Ok, maybe it was a bit.

Here’s another picture I liked from that day. Reminds me of a Mai Tai. Tourists on vacation in Hawaii. Gotta love it.

Here’s a cool cat doing a headstand while surfing. Now, its not the headstand that I’m impressed with, its the fact that he is actually riding a wave. It was pretty flat that day and this is probably the wave of the day right here. I’ve never tried to do a headstand while surfing. I suppose I’d need a longboard for something like that.

This last picture I took while in the water at my beach. I call it my beach because its just down the street from my place. Its amazing to think that I live in such a beautiful place. It makes me smile when there are days like this.

Finally, I just wanted to mention that I’ve spent 4 consecutive days without getting into a car. I’m interested in seeing how long I can go without using any gasoline. Just doing my part to save the world. We’ve also started using candles at night and turning off the lights. We rarely need to use the A/C because its always a perfect temperature. I think it’d be cool if we had a house someday and got some solar panels to power everything. We have some friends who are completely off the grid. The house is self sufficient and has a handful of solar panels in the front. Its pretty amazing. Inspiring almost.
